Biography:

Jack Kornfield is a therapist, author, and meditation instructor. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1967, he joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to northeast Thailand. There, he began his studies in meditation and Buddhism, living as a monk in Thailand, Burma, and India until his return to the United States. In 1975, Kornfield co-founded the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Mass. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.
