Biography:

Johannes Rasmussen graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1946. In 1951 he qualified as a music teacher and in 1956 as an organist after passing the exams. In addition to having been a conductor, Johannes Rasmussen also played in the well-known dance orchestras of that time and recorded more than 300 titles with Danish solo singers. From 1963 to 1993 Johannes Rasmussen was a popular and beloved co-producer at the Danish Broadcasting Station. Subsequently, he was once again able to set aside time for recordings in the studio. 'City of Lights' is the first album recorded in his own name.
