In Hinduism, more than in any other major world religion, Man's environment is sacrosanct to Godliness. It is perhaps the only belief-system where dogma and rituals are not fundamental to its followers worshipping and living life to the full. Thus, in this album of devotion, the very gifted and talented flautist, Rakesh Chaurasia and the King of Pakhawaj, Pandit Bhavani Shankar come together to create sombre yet sublime temple music in Dhrupad style appropriate for the home or one's own cocoon elsewhere. Biography:
Rakesh Chaurasia is the nephew and disciple of the legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Adept at playing the popular and folk music, he is equally at home in the Indian classical genre. In Sona Rupa's Mind, Body & Soul Collection Series, this very gifted flautist has already made his mark on the international scene with Solo and collaborative tracks in various albums.
