Miltiades Papastamou + Marcos Alexiou - Dialogue Blue. On this CD the two musicians of Greek heritage play Jazz standards while touching our deeper feelings. They also add their experience of ethnic music in the traditional 'Missirlu'. While listening we become their fellow travellers on their pilgrimage - from Athens, Alexandria and New York to Holy Mt. Athos. Miltiades Papastamou, violin, was born in Memphis/Tennessee, USA. He studied violin in Athens, London and New York. Besides giving concerts and playing in several groups he also holds the position of 'Artist In Residence' in New York's ABSOLUTE ENSEMBLE, Kristjan Järvi (CCn'C).
