From the 1920's in Greenville, South Carolina, to John Hammond, Sr.'s Café Society in the 1940's, to their 1974 Grammy®-winning collaboration on 'Love Me Like a Rock' with Paul Simon, The Dixie Hummingbirds have been one of gospel's most durable and inspiring groups and are still on the road today led by their lead singer for the last 64 years, Ira Tucker Sr. Now the Dixie Hummingbirds are proud to present their 75th Anniversary Album entitled DIAMOND JUBILATION which features an amazing cast of musicians. Levon Helm is on drums and Garth Hudson plays accordion, piano and organ. Both are founding members of the quintessential Americana group, The Band. Larry Campbell, the producer of the record, plays guitar, pedal steel, fiddle and mandolin. Larry's name can be found on the records of Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Buddy and Julie Miller, and of course Bob Dylan, with whom he has toured for the last six years. Other guest musicians include Tony Garnier, Dr. John and George Recile.
