'East of the Full Moon once again clearly illustrates why Deuter has few, if any, peers when it comes to crafting elegant, beautiful music which speaks to the human soul with simplicity, charm, and grace.' - Bill Binkelman, Wind and Wire
'Deuter's exquisite sense of taste and confidence in the other-dimensional nature of his creations produces music that soothes the spirit, freeing the mind to journey to a place of peace. A few selections include mild percussive beat; the rest flow in an unbroken stream of heart-touching reverie.' - Jason Victor Serinus, Music Critic
'East of the Full Moon should appeal to anyone who is interested in genuine music for meditation, yoga, quiet times, and who may use the music in home, school, or office settings to enhance the environment. Recommended!' - Scott H. Colborn, The Way Home Store
East Of The Full Moon is a musical meditation on the theme of night, crafted by renowned New Age musician/composer, Deuter. Composed to express the moods of the night, its silence, its soft songs, when the human mind has gone to sleep to dream different dreams, Deuter's graceful music evokes images of the night sky, the moon appearing behind clouds, the world losing its stark colors, and trees becoming just shadows against the moon.
Deuter, a master creator of spiritual music, is a living legend. His sublime compositions transcend aural boundaries, his elegant melodies filling the heart of anyone who listens. Deuter's innate awareness and rare musical talent create a harmonious balance of music and spirit. Deuter was one of the first artists on the Celestial Harmonies Kuckuck label with thirteen titles, as well as the musical score of a picture poem released on the MonteVideo label. These recordings offer his unique uplifting melodies played on flute, guitar and synthesizer, blended with the sounds of nature. His creations incorporate a lightness of spirit, a depth of vision and a musical medley of East and West.
Deuter himself is a product of both East and West, born in 1945, in a small village of post-war Germany. As a child, he learned flute and taught himself guitar and harmonica. Together, these releases represent the first twenty-one years of Deuter's exceptional music, a spectrum of radiant outpourings and quiet meditations.
