Intimate and sensual, fervent and powerful, Tulku weaves a global music tapestry whose melodies engulf the rhythms of trance. Combining sampled sounds from around the world with the warmth and organic qualities of live percussion, vocals and a variety of melodic instruments, Tulku creates a new body for an ancient soul.
Producer of Tulku, critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated producer, composer and instrumentalist Jim Wilson is a pioneer in the world music genre. He is the most successful producer of New Native music worldwide and is best known for his productions like 'Walela' with Rita Coolidge and 'Contact' from the 'Underworld of the Redboy' with Robbie Robertson. Recently his music has been featured in major motion picture soundtracks including 'Bedazzled' and Oliver Stone's 'Any Given Sunday.'
Jim Wilson is the mastermind behind Tulku. As the 'group's' writer and producer (and sometimes keyboardist, programmer, and guitarist), Wilson seeks out a wide range of musicians who share his affinity for musical exploration.
