A haunting and atmospheric soundscape of music following the story of the spirits of the sea and the sky and their enchantment by a siren. Sirens are sea nymphs - part woman, part bird - said to lure sailors with their song.
Featuring an amazing interweaving of real instruments, especially featuring the celtic harp, his richly evocative music is inspired by the sea, its mystery and mythology.
France Ellul has studied and taught the Celtic harp for many years, using it in the Vitae ensemble and his own group, Harps of Avalon, as well as solo. His harp is also an integral part of his storytelling and guided meditation
France met Chris Conway at a music festival. They played together impromptu with such an obvious affinity that Chris played on France's first CD, The Seven Harps of Avalon, and joined the Harps of Avalon soon afterwards playing at numerous festivals all over the UK. The two met again when they performed with new age stars Llewellyn and Juliana.
