Stretching the familiar just out of its normal context, Tim Clark creates richly layered, complex and satisfying music.

Biography:

Tim Clark is best unknown as the mysterious composer behind all of the legendary ZBS radio drama series: Jack Flanders, Taj Express, Ruby I & II, Dreams of Rio and Saratoga Springs. He played piano and flute in high school, then bassoon, violin and percussion while studying composition at Boston University in the late 60's.

Moving to the Eastman School of Music, he learned to write in a totally inaccessible academic style, played lots of jazz, discovered electronic music and started working with early Moog modular gear in 1969. In 1972 he parlayed a natural affinity for spacemusic into a job as the world's first full time planetarium composer at the Strasenburgh in Rochester. Moving to the McLaughlin Planetarium in Toronto in 1975, he settled in for 12 years with one Mini-Moog, two 4-tracks and a spring reverb.
