'Soaring, beautiful vocals resonate through the body to the soul. The instrumentals perfectly compliment the connection. A joyful celebration for the senses. I feel good every time I listen to it. The music would compliment yoga practice. My new favorite CD.' - Susan Cooke, Yoga Practitioner
'Inner divinity unveiled! A tantric twist to deep inner peace. Vocals and instrumentals in perfect harmony: bringing calm, serenity, and a universal connection to what body-mind-soul is all about. Let dreams become reality in every practice - in life!' - Hope Zvara, Yoga Teacher
Rasas latest release, Temple of Love, blends Hans Christians excellent meditative and ethereal instrumentation with the achingly beautiful vocals of Kim Waters, creating a distinctive style of classic, yet contemporary, Indian spiritual music. On this recording, Hans Christian plays a remarkable quantity of instruments: the cello, bass, keyboards, udu, sitara, harmonium, nyckelharpa, sarangi, kartals, mridangam, shakers, tibetan bowls, sarod, dilruba, swaramandala, and the tambura. These sounds are blended harmoniously and elegantly with the outstanding vocals of Kim Waters. Through this fusion, on Temple of Love, Rasa successfully echoes the soothing, hypnotic aspects of Indian spiritual music while simultaneously infusing it with their own modern sensibility.
rasa (sanskrit): the 'taste' or essence of any impression; the aesthetic experience in transcendence; the emotional fulfillment of the soul; the essence of Divine Love.
Inspired By Indian Devotional Bhajans (songs in praise of Krishna), Rasa's music combines traditional Vaishnava songs with contemporary musical arrangements while maintaining a sacred experience.
Rasa consists of Kim Waters, an artist equally blessed as a singer and as a painter of sacred art; and of Hans Christian, classically trained cellist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and studio wizard.
Together they weave a path of devotional prayer and transcendental sound vibrations...
