'I work like a film director. With the vision of what a piece should turn out to be, I gather various musicians around me, who can perfectly translate this idea into Sound.' Carlos Peron is a co-founder of the group Yello. Following the release of Yellos third album, 'You Gotta Say Yes to Another Excess', in 1983, Carlos Peron left the group in order to pursue a number of pending solo projects. That same year he composed and recorded the soundtrack for the film, 'Die schwarze Spinne' (The Black Spider). Between 1985 and 1992 he was commissioned to create two new works: 'Die Schöpfung der Welt' (The Creation of the World) and 'Fundamental'. He also used this time to solidify his reputation as a producer and was brought in to remix numbers by M.S.S.O., 'Brainticket', 'Impersonator 1-3', 'Der Komtur', 'Wolfsheim' and many more. The album 'Gold For Iron' reveals a baffling musical multiplicity. With humour and a touch of genius Carlos Peron has amalgamated high-tech pop and his own unique aural illusions. Carlos Peron has been collecting sounds for years: 'There is not a single object in my house that I have not tested as a source of sound for my music.'
