It is impossible to perceive Armenia without Sharakans. Wherever you are in the wild nature of Armenian land, Sharakans seems to fill the forgotten colours of the canvas called 'Armenia'. They astonish us with their variety of colour and image, with the unity of man and nature, with the harmonic and marvellous explication of spirit and flesh.
Biography:
ANNA MAILIAN was born in Yerevan, Armenia. She studied here at the Romanos Melikian Music College, vocal department, as well as in Poland, France, Rumania and Switzerland. Since 1999 she has been engaged as Professor of Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan. In Anna Mailian’s voice you find her heart and soul full of love to her country and its Christian culture.
