Description:
Windows represents many scenes Nieve encountered on his travels around the world. While on his journeys Nieve would often record sound out of a window with his portable DAT machine. He would then take a snap-shot of each window from which he recorded so he could capture the scene visually as well as aurally. Two musical themes, one representing a man, the other a woman, interact with these ambiances, so that the music and the couple the music seeks to represent, embark on a voyage, as if searching for each other, across all the planet, and beyond.
Windows was recorded in many countries around the world including Holland, Thailand, Hungary, Ireland, Morocco, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Japan, USA, Portugal, Scotland, Egypt, France, Australia, Mexico, Sicily, Czech Republic, China, Russia, Canada and Spain.
