Jaro specialises in jazz, classical and world music with a special focus on unusual voice projects, represented in their "voices" series. Jaro release music they identify with, not music that they think might be trendy. Quality diversity is their motto. In the past fifteen years Jaro pressed Charlie Chaplin's compositions into grooves as cello arrangements by Thomas Beckmann at a time when few people had ever heard that the great actor composed music and had ambitions as a violincellist. Jaro have sold these recordings all over the World. One of Jaro's leitmotifs in the relationship between Orient and Occident; the recordings of Islamic, Sephardic and Christian music with the Ensemble Sarband provide a new understanding of the music of the middle ages. Jaro also discovered the mysterious power and rousing effect of archaic Bulgarian song and released recordings of The Bulgarian Voices Angelite, helping the Bulgarian womens' choir to world fame.
